Despite being the lowest priced sport 4x4 on the market, Kymco’s Maxxer 375 4x4 delivers high end features such as independent rear suspension, custom looking aluminum wheels and a more efficient four valve engine design. Beginners find it unintimidating while experienced pilots find it surprisingly capable. For the moderate paced year round trail rider the Kymco Maxxer 375 provides big fun in a smaller package that wont break the bank.

Arctic Cat’s 366 4x4 caught our eye at their 2009 intro. Its compact size, easy to ride power and affordable price make this machine ideal for those looking for an entry level 4x4 machine. Check out our twelve month test for our performance review and to see how it held up.

Kawasaki’s line of mule line of utility vehicles are arguably the first side by sides on the market. The 610 4x4 XC combines the original Mule 610 with larger Maxxis Bighorn tires and other small changes to improve its off road exploring capability. The Trans4x4 Diesel adds diesel power to Kawasaki’s 4010 Trans4x4 making it a more convenient option for companies of farmers who primarily power their equipment on diesel fuel.

When it comes to performance for the dollar, Suzuki’s LTZ400 is virtually impossible to beat. Costing around 25% less then the average 450cc machine, Suzuki’s Z400 features a high performance 400cc engine, fully adjustable suspension, styling borrowed directly from the LTR450, and a history of winning motocross and cross country national championships. If you are willing to trade 50cc for a 25% more affordable machine, then Suzuki’s Z400 could be the perfect ATV for you!

The 2010 Polaris Ranger 400 offers a surprising amount of performance for its reasonable retail price of under $8000. We expected this machine to be primarily aimed at utilitarian purposes and were surprised how much sporting performance it offers.

The 2010 ATV On Demand 450cc ATV Motocross Shootout Compares nearly every aspect of the Yamaha YFZ450R, KTM 450SX, Can-Am DS450X MX, Suzuki LTR450 and the Polaris Outlaw 450MXR giving the viewer all of the necessary information to choose which machine is a winner for them. Our test of the 2010 Yamaha Grizzly 550 with power steering left us surprisingly excited about Yamaha’s mid bore full size 4x4. It’s light and nimble like a small bore, yet comfortable, controllable and plush like a big bore. With a motor whose performance is somewhere in between, the Grizzly 550 with power steering is one of the best all around utilities we have tested.

We recently ad the chance to throw a leg over Kawasaki's updated Teryx 750 and high performance KFX450 at their intro ride held at the Badlands in Attica Indiana. See how these awesome performers handle the tight mid-west terrain.
