GBC Motorsports Dirt Series Round 7

Dylan Dixon finished second in both motos in round 7 to secure the 450 Pro championship.

Anaheim, Calif. – September 27, 2012 GBC Motorsports riders headed to Anza, California this past weekend as the Dirt Series returned to Cahuilla Creek Motocross for Round 7.

GBC’s Dylan Dixon has dominated the 450 Pro Class, winning all four races he had entered leading into the 7th round. Dixon grabbed the holeshot in the first moto but settled for 2nd place finishes in both races, good for 2nd place overall. With this strong showing Dylan has locked up the Quad Pro 450 championship with one race left to finish out the season.

Joey Berg used his GBC Bomb Squad MX tires to nab both holeshots on the way to a 2nd place finish in both motos and 2nd place overall in the Quad 450 Pro-Am class.

Like other GBC racers, Justin Christensen is enjoying the versatility of his Bomb Squad MX tires. He and other riders groove the rears for customized traction to best suit the terrain and the course. This paid off as Justin pulled both holeshots and swept the 450 Intermediate class with two wins. Christensen holds a solid lead in the class heading into the final round.

GBC Motorsports’ Kayla Smith continued her run as one of the fastest UTV drivers in any race she enters. Round 7 was no different as she finished 1st in both motos and posted the 2nd fastest time of all UTVs. Smith’s performance aboard her GBC Dirt Commanders secured the UTV 700 championship.

The Dirt Entertainment crew is hosting the Race N Rock event at the San Bernardino Fair Grounds, September 28-30. The weekend long event will include races of all disciplines as well as several rock bands, food and beer garden, and other entertainment. Visit www.racenrock.com for more information.

The final round of the 2012 Dirt Series season brings racers and spectators back to Pala Raceway on October 20th. The day will conclude with the series banquet, so if you’ve participated in any of the Dirt Series events this year be sure to come out for a spectacular finale.
